Four reasons why security companies are not threatened by StellieSafe

StellieSafe is creating an “Uber for Armed Reponse” mobile application that connects users in need of assistance with the nearest available armed responder. It will be launched in a piloted area in Stellenbosch by Christmas.

Here are the four reasons why security companies are not threatened by StellieSafe:

1. StellieSafe is not in competition with security companies

StellieSafe offers armed response in public spaces only.

Users get access to armed response at their homes and at work thanks to the services of their individual armed response companies. Now with StellieSafe these same users are able to extend the same access to other public places.

2. StellieSafe is creating a unified stand in the fight against crime.

In some way or another all South Africans have been affected by crime.

By coming together in the StellieSafe initiative armed response companies are letting South Africans know that they have a genuine interest in making our streets and public places safer.

3. Security companies are not required to invest in any additional infrastructure.

Security companies already have vehicles and drivers patrolling or on standby in public places. There is no need to put additional cars on the road to provide extended armed response coverage to users whilst they are away from their homes.

StellieSafe is providing a means to efficiently connect available response resources.

4. StellieSafe gives security companies additional insight into their operations.

In addition to driver ratings Security Companies will get information on the real-time locations of their available response vehicles, the historical response times and the types of events their drivers respond to. This data will help enhance their at-home and at-work armed response service offerings.
